About 110 km west of Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe, lies the Mubaya Ecovillage.Four generations ago, under the rule of the white settlers, this barren piece of land of about 170 hectares in Mashonaland West was given to my ancestors as a reserve, whereas the white settlers settled on the fertile land.
Vision
The dream is that the inhabitants of Mubaya village live a self-determined and independent life in harmony with nature and with each other.
Projects
In order for the vision of the village to be achieved and for the showcase farm and training center to become a true ecovillage, numerous projects are necessary.
